The Staff Welfare Organization Lahore Region has been actively organizing a series of vocational training and community development programs at the Ladies Industrial Home in C.G.E. (Wahdat) Colony throughout 2025 and into early 2026. Key initiatives include a Ramzan cooking workshop in March 2026, computer skill classes for women in September and October 2025, and a beautician training session with hair-dye practice in September 2025. These programs aim to empower residents, particularly women, with practical skills.
In addition to vocational training, the Staff Welfare Organization Lahore Region organized significant community welfare events in late 2025. A free medical camp for federal government employees and their families was successfully held in November 2025. Furthermore, a certificate distribution ceremony for vocational training courses (computer, shorthand, typing) was conducted under the supervision of the Chief Welfare Officer, highlighting skill development efforts.
Residents of CGE Colony engaged in cultural and craft activities organized through the Ladies Industrial Home. In December 2025, students created traditional flower garlands (gajras) for the wedding season. Earlier, in July 2025, handcrafted dress embroidery work was showcased. These activities reflect the community's cultural engagement and creative skills development alongside vocational training.
