On 13 June 2026, five armed men, including Raja Altaf, intercepted two vehicles near Sada Road in the Chakri–New Abadi area of Lahore and opened indiscriminate fire, killing Syed Shahzada Tabassum and Syed Mustafa Tabassum. The motive was a longstanding land dispute. Police arrested three suspects in connection with the double murder; two bystander women were also injured during the attack.
